Ray

At the center of field operations, ecological pest strategies, and client service at Verde Environmental & Pest Management is Owner and Operator Ray. Bringing over 25 years of hands-on industry experience to homeowners, agricultural properties, and commercial venues across North County San Diego, Ray leads the company with a deep commitment to sustainable, environmentally conscious pest solutions. Founded in 2017, Verde Environmental & Pest Management is a proud local, family-owned, veteran-owned, and woman-owned business that treats every customer's home with the same care, safety, and respect as its own.

Ray’s primary areas of expertise focus on eco-friendly environmental pest control, comprehensive general pest management, and specialized landscape and plant pest solutions. Over his quarter-century in the field, Ray has developed a nuanced understanding of pest biology, soil-plant dynamics, and non-toxic exclusion methods. His advanced background includes managing all Integrated Pest Management (IPM) operations for the world-renowned San Diego Zoo—a testament to his ability to solve complex pest challenges in delicate, high-standards environments where the health and safety of animals, exotic plants, and the public are paramount.

Master Beekeeper, Environmental Steward, and Safe Eco-Friendly Solutions

Ray’s passion for environmental balance extends far beyond standard pest control. An avid beekeeper who considers bees his absolute favorite animals, Ray brings a unique ecological perspective to his work. Instead of relying on broad-spectrum, harsh chemical treatments, Ray focuses on targeted IPM methodologies that protect beneficial pollinators, soil microbes, and local flora while eliminating destructive structural pests, rodents, and mosquitoes. His specialized knowledge of plant and landscape pests allows him to diagnose garden and turf infestations accurately, restoring health to residential yards without harming the local ecosystem.

Fully licensed, bonded, and insured, Verde Environmental & Pest Management prioritizes family and pet safety above all else. Under Ray’s leadership, the company offers tailored green treatments that effectively eradicate pests while leaving zero harmful chemical residues behind. To accommodate the diverse San Diego community, Ray’s team is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, providing seamless communication, clear service breakdowns, and official pest clearance paperwork for real estate transfers and mortgage approvals.

Active Outdoorsman, Dedicated Family Man, and Community Leader

When he isn't managing IPM strategies or inspecting job sites, Ray leads a vibrant, active lifestyle centered around his family and the outdoors. He loves spending quality time with his daughters, his family, and his dog. A true outdoor enthusiast, Ray keeps chickens, tends to his personal garden, enjoys fishing and surfing along the San Diego coast, attends local community outdoor events, and maintains a consistent working-out routine to stay in peak physical condition.

Ray’s personal connection to nature and family directly inspires his business philosophy. He understands that a home should be a safe, comfortable sanctuary free of pests and toxic chemicals alike. His approachable leadership, combined with fast response times—including service within the hour when available and 24/7 emergency support—ensures that North County San Diego residents receive prompt, dependable, and earth-friendly care.
